COLD WEATHER TIPS
Thanks to my local branch of the Red
Cross, I have instructed my three interns (see pictures) to help pass along family-friendly information and
advice allowing one to better prepare for winter weather.
Dakota says: Dress in layers so you can adjust to changing conditions. Avoid
overdressing or overexertion that can lead to heat illness.
Brittany says: Wear waterproof, insulated boots to help avoid hypothermia or
frostbite by keeping your feet warm and dry and to maintain your footing in ice and snow.
Cinnamon says: Most of your body heat is lost through your head so wear a wooly
hat, preferably one that covers your ears.
I hope this message is helpful and you like my interns.
